SPACE
An Old House
Wood floors, round windows, sliding doors, rattan chairs
We put this house together slowly, piece by piece.
We kept what was already here — the wooden staircase, the round windows, the sliding doors —
and added just enough to sleep comfortably: a bed, some light, a proper bathroom.
Too many new things would dilute the mountain feeling. So we were restrained.
2F
The Second Floor by Day
The second floor is shared space — read, have tea, or just sit.
1F
The Ground Floor's Quiet
Concrete stairs, white walls, a narrow corridor — the ground floor is clean and quiet.
The living room is shared — brew tea, read, just sit. The kitchen is only available to guests who book the entire house.
GARDEN
A Little Train in the Garden
In one corner by the wall, we've built a small garden railway.
The track winds between succulents, coleus, and a few flowers — with rabbits, sheep, ducks, and squirrels making themselves at home.
The train itself has a small history — bought by a friend’s parents on their honeymoon, more than thirty years ago. They later thought it would feel more at home running here than in theirs, and passed it on to us. We’re deeply grateful for the gift — the garden has felt warmer ever since.
The train itself is still a work in progress — some days it runs, other days it just rests quietly. If it happens to be moving when you visit, take it as a small gift.
BACK MOUNTAIN
What Grows Around the House
There’s a mountain behind our house.
The flowers, ferns, and pine needles you’ll see here aren’t ours — they grow on their own, just beyond the garden edge and outside the windows.
The mountain changes its plants with the seasons — these are just a few we happened to catch.
OUTSIDE
From the Outside
A wooden sign on a brick wall.
The entrance you'll see when you drive up.
From above, the house hides in the trees.
The front facade, fruit-tree courtyard, and pond.
NIGHT
The House at Night
Lights come on, the air cools. Brew tea, talk a little, turn in early — that's how the mountain evening passes.
